Who are we?

We are disciples of Jesus Christ in community with one another.

We are a church in the middle of a neighborhood.  This church was originally formed to share the love of Jesus with the growing neighborhood of Fountain City and we continue to see that as our primary mission.

We are a praying church.  Our prayer chain is circulated via email and we pray for the names and situations that we read about.  We also pray together on Sunday mornings for our world, our neighborhood, our friends, our enemies, and ourselves.

We are a worshipping congregation.  On Sunday mornings we celebrate being together and we keep up with each other’s lives to our best ability.  We take seriously the call of God to go from the sanctuary out into the world as we serve others with kindness and understanding.

We are people who enjoy life.  We are the church that provides “Movies on the Lawn” in the summertime, and other activities throughout the year to bring our community together.  We especially like to get together over food, and we have some excellent cooks.

We are all ages, we have children and grandchildren. We are single and married. We are welcoming to all people.  We remember your name.

We are a United Methodist congregation in the Holston Annual Conference.  To learn more about the general beliefs of the United Methodist Church, please visit this website:
