Food Buckets for Zimbabwe – Goal 500
It’s time for our Hands-On Mission Project. The Tennessee Valley District of the Holston Conference is putting together food buckets for Zimbabwe for the 2025 Hands-On Mission Project. The approximate cost of a bucket and the items listed below is between $35-$40. St. Paul’s goal is to fill 10 buckets. Sunday school classes, small groups, and individuals are encouraged to put together a food bucket with the items listed below, or you can make a monetary donation. Bring your filled buckets or monetary donation designated for the Hands-On Mission Project – Zimbabwe to the church office by May 25. Pack in a NEW 5-gallon bucket with lid. Please bring $8 per bucket for shipping. Buckets can be purchased at Lowe’s or Home Depot. • 1 bag of SUGAR (4-5 lb) • 1 bag of SELF-RISING FLOUR (4-5 lb) • 1 bag of RICE (2 lb) • 1 bag of DRIED BEANS (2lb) • 1 POWDERED MILK (no larger than 64 oz) • 1 bottle of COOKING OIL (48 oz or less) • 2 cans of MEAT: Ham (2 -1 lb cans) or Spam, Tuna, Chicken Remember, food items have expiration dates! Please, make sure the expiration dates of items are 2026 or later to cover transport time and have a useful shelf-life for the people of Zimbabwe. |
